Bullseye draw time and how to read your results

When Bullseye results are published

Bullseye is drawn once a day, every day, at 6:00 pm NZ time. The result usually appears around 6:10 pm, and we publish the winning number on this page as soon as it's verified.

Checking your ticket

Compare your number with the winning number above, or enter it in the checker. You don't need an exact match: anything within 50,000 either side wins, and the closer you are, the higher the division. The draw's page lists exactly which numbers won each division. For older tickets, use the Bullseye checker or the Bullseye archive.

Numbers near 000000 and 999999

One thing worth knowing when you check a ticket: the numbers run in a loop. For Bullseye, 999999 sits directly next to 000000. Think of a clock face, where 12 is next to 1. So if the winning number is 000001 and you played 999998, you're three numbers away and in Division 2, not almost a million away.

Claiming a prize

Prizes must be claimed within 12 months of the draw date, after which they're forfeited and the money goes into Lotto NZ's prize reserve fund.

How the jackpot grows

Division 1 starts at $100,000 and grows by $5,000 for every day it goes unwon, up to $400,000. At that point the next draw is Must Be Won: if nobody matches the number exactly, the whole Division 1 pool drops down and is shared among the winners in the next division that has any. Division 2 is different from the rest: a fixed $10,000 rather than a share of the pool, capped at $250,000 across the draw. See our Bullseye statistics for how often Division 1 is won.

Bullseye results FAQ

What was tonight's Bullseye number?

The winning number on Friday 9 October was 760017. Division 1 wasn't won, so it's worth $245,000 on Saturday.

When is the Bullseye winning number drawn?

Every day at 6:00 pm. The result usually appears around 6:10 pm and we publish it here as soon as it's verified.

How do I win a prize in Bullseye?

Match the winning number exactly and you take Division 1. Miss it and you can still win: anything within 50,000 either side falls into one of the five lower divisions, and the closer you are, the more you win.

What are the winning number ranges?

Division 2 is 1 to 5 away from the winning number, Division 3 is 6 to 50, Division 4 is 51 to 500, Division 5 is 501 to 5,000 and Division 6 is 5,001 to 50,000, counting in both directions. Each draw's page lists the exact ranges.

What if my number is close to 000000 or 999999?

It makes no difference. The numbers run in a loop, so 999999 sits next to 000000. If the winning number is 000001 and you played 999998, you're three away and in Division 2.

Why does Division 1 sometimes show Rollover?

That means nobody matched the winning number exactly that night, so the prize carries into the next draw. It grows by $5,000 a day up to $400,000, at which point the next draw is Must Be Won.

Where can I find older Bullseye results?

In the Bullseye archive, listed by month. Each draw there has its own page with prizes and winning ranges.

How long do I have to claim a Bullseye prize?

12 months from the draw date. After that the prize is forfeited and the money goes into the prize reserve fund, so it's worth checking older tickets sooner rather than later.
